About

Paula Meza

Paula Meza (1997) resides in Bogotá, Colombia. She is a visual and plastic artist, a graduate of the ASAB Faculty of Arts, with a focus on painting, photography, video, drawing, printmaking, and writing. She has furthered her studies through workshops in oil painting, ceramics, and theater.

She is interested in exploring emotions from a feminine perspective, documenting her daily life, journeys, and personal and intimate experiences. Her intention is to showcase and share this unique perception, directing it toward an audience to broaden their perspective and create an empathetic “visual relationship” with the artwork, which seeks to represent a real-life image. Through the act of looking, there is beauty—Paula invites people to pause and observe.

Her work is expressed not only through pictorial language but also through other media such as photography and video. Recently, she has incorporated elements of performance to create a narrative, allowing the viewer to become part of the artwork, enhancing it, and generating broader interpretations of perception.
